1. Brief

Ma steel boasts of two wire rod production lines. One line, equipped with advanced Morgan type twist-free hot rolling high speed wire rod mill with controlled cooling, produces sizes of rolled product “6.5-13mm”. Another production line, with latest generation of wire rod mill completely imported from SMS Co., German, features single line multi-channel flexible switch originated throughout world, which can achieve thermal-mechanical rolling technology to ensure dimension tolerance of +/-0.1mm. Controlled cooling line downstream rolling is 105m long, rolled product sizes “5.0-22mm”, max. rolling speed up to 120m/s and coil weight above 2t.

Ma steel’s wire rod product mix includes twist-free controlled-cooled hot rolled coils of cold heading steel, quality carbon steel, plain carbon steel, spring steel, low carbon steel easy to be drawn to wire and etc. coils of heading steel grade above 8.8 free from annealing treatment or with reduced time for annealing can be produced with the thermal-mechanical rolling process technology. Ma steel, as one of the members of Tightener Industry Association, is making striking effort to become quality wire rod production base for tighteners.

Twist-free controlled-cooled hot rolled coils of plain carbon and quality carbon structural steel, etc was certified to be in compliance with quality system of ISO9001-2000 in July, 2003.
