Thick and Medium Plate
1．Brief
Medium plate production line consists of three sets of
reheating furnace, one set of rolling mill system (two-high
roughing mill and four-high finishing mill), one set of
high-pressure water descaling system with pump pressure of 5.7MPa,
one set of single roll hot straightening machine, one finishing
line (2 sets of slitting cutter and 2 sets of crosscut shear) and
one off-line flaw detection line. The production line is
characterized by the following items: Advanced process inspection
method; Reheating furnace with computer to control heating
parameters; Finishing mill with most advanced hydraulic trimming
computer gauge control technology developed domestically; Main
line with infra-red temperature measuring instrument, laser
gaugemeter, laser width gauge, digital length meter and laser line
marker for space setting; Automatic pressure measuring system; The
whole production process with color industrial TV system for
monitoring.
Ma Steel brand A and B ship plates have been accepted earlier
or later by shipyards of ships' classification society such as CCS
(China), GL (German), LR (UK), DNV (Norway), ABS (America) and BV
(France). In addition, plate products like 09CrPV, 09CuPV, 15MnRVc
and 50Mn2V are developed. Ma Steel's products that are certified
to be in compliance with ISO9002-1994 quality system in June, 1998
include carbon structural steel plate, low alloy high strength
steel plate, boiler carbon steel and low alloy steel, carbon steel
and low alloy steel for pressure container, and shipbuilding
structural steel. Therefore, Ma Steel is able to organize
production and deliver products according to international
standards such as JIS, ASTM and EN10025 depending on customers'
requirements.
Main Varieties of Product
There are five series of products, namely carbon structural
steel plate, low alloy high strength steel plate, boiler plate,
plate for pressure container and shipbuilding structural plate,
among which Ma Steel brand 16MnG plate and ship plate were awarded
with national gold cup prize for material object, and 16MnR plate
with Product Safety and Quality Certificate issued by National
Ministry of Labor.
